Le Mas Jaubert lies in the departement of Aquitaine in the south-western part of France, which borders on Spain. The province is rich in cultural treasures in the shape of museums, castles, roman churches, convents, mediaeval fortresses and cosy villages.
The Village of Le Jemaye is near to the town of Riberac in an area of natural rural beauty on the north edge of the Dordogne region.
The local landscape is dotted with pretty villages surrounded by vineyards, cornfields and, in July, August and September, fields of bright yellow sunflowers. The beautiful town of Perigueux, capital of the Dordogne, is just a half hour drive and Bergerac, with its airport, markets and charming old town is less than an hour away.
The elegant coastal resort of Arcachon, is less than two hours and the city of Bordeaux is just an hour and a half. |
